Comments: A Season's First- Mano y Mano, played at Bellport on a HOT DAY. It started off with Joe taking a plus 2 and Steve down 2 after 2. Then Steve kicked it in and was up 3 after nine. Chris was having trouble with his hand and was down 4 after nine, but the pain subsided and the OLD CHRIS kicked in. Hitting drives of 300 yards, always into the opposite fairway but return shots hitting the Green. I think if he hit a fairway off the drive he would be lost!!! In any case +4 was even after 17, with the match down to the last hole. Steve kept up the pressure and won his match on 16; but the heat got to him and Mike took the press!! On 18 Chris did his norm and hit a 300 yard drive to the middle of the( 8th)
fairway then hit a beautiful shot to 90 yards out. Joe hit his drive into the fairway bunker, hit a wedge out then a 4 wood to within 100 yds of the green. Then the collapse! missed wedge into trap and match was over. Great competition; But HOT. The League just got tighter. Great Political discourse followed at drinks.

Comments: A much anticipated match of former partners going head to head...Best Ball was the format. The ice was broken with Dan's Birdie at 3 to go 1 up. Frank and Dan parred 4 to go 2 up. Than the fun began...Over the next 6 holes Bud made par while rolling in putts from everywhere...his partner Bill wanted in on the fun as he parred 3 out of 6 during that stretch with some magic putts as well. Dan and Frank were shell shocked as Frank started hitting it sideways. Down 2 after 12 Frank and Dan finally looked like they woke up by winning 13 with Franks par. Match remained that way until 16 with Billy getting his last stroke to go 6 for 5 to go up 2 with 2 to go...the infamous Dormey. Frank and Dan were not to be denied as they dug in an Frank parred 17 and 18 to halve the match. The weather was hot and the tension was even hotter by everyone cooled down at the 19th with some cocktails as usual!!! Great match and it looks like the leaderboard is getting tighter.

Comments: Format was Best ball. A beautiful day for golf on the waterfront course. The match started out like a typical day of golf. One team winning a hole and then the other team winning a hole. At the end of 8 holes, John/Brian were up by one with plenty of golf to play. Then the craziness started. On the 9th hole, Hank sank a 60' putt to tie Brian's par. We go to the par 3, 10th hole, all players are on in regulation, with no one closer than 70'. Brian putts first and gets to within 5'. Steve, who is 60' away ,down a ridge, sinks his putt for a birdie! All tie. At the par 3, 14th hole. Only Brian hits the green. 15' from the back flag. Steve in the Trap, Hank above the trap, chipping. BOTH players hit to a foot from the flag for 3. Brian struggles to 2 putt for a 3 to half the hole. On 15, John pulls off a well deserved par with a stroke, for a net 3. Steve also pars with no stroke. Brian/John are now up 1 with three to play. John continues to play well with holes 15,16 and 17, par, birdie, par with a stroke a hole.
Hank/Steve lost on 16 with John's birdie. We all start on 17 with Hank/Steve looking for the 2 point press. All 4 players put it on the fairway within 10 yrds of each other!! All four players put it on the green within 10 yrds of each other. Brian bogies and everyone else pars to half the hole. 18th hole is a tie thanks to John and we split the press. All four players shot 40 on the back 9!! Never saw that before. Great scores and a real tough match. Check out all the scores. We all needed cut men after the battle. Another fantastic season. Thanks to Joe P. for a good year!

Comments: Best ball, best ball. The round started out rough for Brian/John. After 4 holes they were down 3 holes. Mike pars the 2nd hole and Dennis birdies the 3rd hole. John and Mike par the 4th hole, Brian shoots a double bogey and Dennis bogies with a stroke! Brian/John won a few and by the 10 hole were down by 1. At 15 Brian/John were down by three with 3 to go. Hole 16 is a 140 yrd par 3, Mike and Brian par with John and Dennis bogey to close us out for 8 points. John came alive on 17 and 18 and pared both holes!!! Everyone shot close to their handicaps. it was a competitive round and a lot of fun. Congratulations to the winners on a fine match.

Comments: Format was bestball tiebreaker. It only came into play on 2 holes on the back. Everyone had a mediocre day with some bad and great holes!! It was a see saw match as Team Frank and Dan went up 1 on the first hole only to have Team Chris and Mike win the next 2 holes. By the 6th hole Team Frank and Dan went to 1 up. Chris than made par on the next 3 holes to go 2 up at the turn. Team Frank and Dan got it back to even winning 10 on Dans par and 11 on Franks Birdie. Than on 16 Team Chris and Mike went 1 up. If Frank makes a 2 foot putt on 17 the match is all square but no he hits the edge of the hole to go down 1 into 18. There Dan makes a par with a 4 foot putt to halve the match. Another typical league match in the record books!!!

Comments: Conditions were hot and humid and the pace of play was SLOW (5 1/2 hour round)...at Spring Lake and the format was Best Ball...a surprise as Mano e Mano was expected. Match was all square after 4 even though Joe opened with 2 strokes and Steve got 1 stroke. At the turn Team Joe and Steve were up 2 as Joe had 3 pars and a birdie on the front for a 42. Down 3 after 10 Team Frank and Dan rattled off 3 pars each over the next 4 holes to go up 1. That's when the fun began!! The banter between Joe and Steve should have ben recorded...even in the fairway there was discussion on who would hit first than on the greens the strategy thickened to the point where we didn't even know who was away!!! At one point on the 16th fairway Steve was walking funny and there was a 5 iron up his ass...that Joe planted there to get him going. It was the equivalent of going to the whip down the stretch. But Joe had to carry the day as he made 5 net 4 on his last stroke hole on 17 to go 1 up. Frank and Dan were not to be denied as Frank made a par on 18 to halve the match. Joe crawled into the bar as the weight was too much to bear. It was a very competitive match up to the end. This is why we have a league!!!!

Comments: Another Rumble in the Bellport Jungle where the match was decided on the final putt.
The format was Best Ball. R/T came out swinging and one the first three rounds. Then Steve started throwing bombs and Hank finessed around the green. at the turn R/T were only one up. S/H rope-a-doped to get to even at 16.
On 17 Rich Tony and Hank all hit there 2nd shots into the shmutz. but Steve stuck the pin and parred to win the hole and go one up.
All 4 of his good drives on 18. Rich and Steve hit monster drives but both were in the woods on the right. Rich punched out and hit his 3rd shot 30 yards short of the green. Hank hit his 3rd shot in the treacherous trap behind the green and Tony hit his 3rd shot into the trap to the left of the green.
Meanwhile Steve hit his 2nd shot with a 3-iron and it went into the twilight zone. No one had ant idea where it landed and Steve had to go back and hit another.
R/T need to win the hole to halve the match. The key shot was now Hank who unfortunately could not get out of the trap and wound up with a 7. Rich hit his 4th shot about 20 feet from the pin and 2 putted for a six. Steve was on the green in 5 and needed to make a 20 footer to halve the hole and win the match. It came up short .
Quite a fight!!

Comments: Earlier in the week Tom was contacted by Mike who advised that Chris had a business committment that came up and it could not be change. Mike said he would still like to have the match as everyone is running out of time to reschedule and he would be playing Tom and Billy E. As Tom E was leaving his house to come to Bellport, Billy E called and he said he cannot make the match that day..........so Mike and Tom played mano a mano ! Exciting !! The weather was beautiful and Tom refrained from the Budweisers until the end of the match. Tom caught Mike on an off day and Tom was up 2 at the turn after carding a 42 on the front against Mikes 46. Tom went up 3 on 10 and went Mike won 11 with the next 3 holes staying with Tom 2 up but it wassn't pretty golf doble bogies flying all over. Tom parred 14 and went up to 3 and held ongoing into 17 2 up and then was lucky to win 17 & 18 with bogies to Mikes double bogies. We had a good time and sorry someone has to lose as Mike is a real gentleman and a good guy to play a round with.

Comments: OK the format was best ball. All I can say it was an amazing match. It started out with halving one so it was a smooth start. Then it started Brian dropped a 30 foot birdie on 2 to go up one. We halved 3 with 4 pars. Brian dropped a 35 footer on 4 so Rich and Tony thought it was going to be one of those days. Not so, on 5 Tony hit his 2nd shot to 8 inches to stop the bleeding with another birdie.Tony parred 8 and 9 to shoot 37 on the front .we made the turn 2 up. Then it was Rich's turn he dropped a 30 footer on 10 to go 3 up. So guess what John and Brian both parred 11 and 12 to match the match interesting again.it stayed that way until Rich dropped anothe 25 footer for pas on on 14 to go up 2.Match was won by Rich and Tony on 16. So here goes a 2 hole press . 17 was halved and so was 18 so we split the 2 points. The sun was shining and it was a great match. Of course the drinks were the high point.

Comments: Steve and Hank chose best ball as the format. Bill started the ball rolling by winning the first hole with a par. Both teams split the next 4 holes and then Bill got a par on 6 to bring Bud and Bill to +2. Both Steve and Hank got pars on 7 bringing the match to +1 for Bill and Bud. Stayed that way until the 9th when bill had a stroke and had a 5 for a net 4 bringing the match back to +2 for Bud and Bill at the turn. Bill shoots a 41 on the front. Hank had a birdie on 11 bring the match back to +1 for Bud and Bill and stayed that way until 14 when Hank and Steve had a pars bring the match to even. Hank had a par on 15 and they were now +1. Bud and Bill getting concerned now. Bud had a stroke on 16 and won the hole with a net 5. The match is even going into the dreaded 17th (Bill's favorite hole). All 4 drives were decent and Bill had a stroke and lays up so Bud took a chance and hit a 3 wood about 35 feet behind the flag. Steve just off the green in 2 and put his 3rd shot about 3 feet from the flag for a pretty sure par. Bud sinks the 35 footer for a birdie which puts Bud and Bill up 1 going into 18. It looks like either a split or everything for Bud and Bill. Bud hits his 3rd shot from the trap into the water. Bill is on the front of the green in 3. Hank is the the right side in 4. Bill leaves his putt short. Hank putts and almost sinks it but gets a 6. Bill now 2 putts and ends up with a 6 and Bud and Bill take the 10 points. We have to thank Steve for 2 or 3 gifts. In at least 2 cases he is putting for a birdie and ends up 3 putting. Hank played very good but had to give Bill 7 strokes which came into play on the front 9. Perfect day for golf.

Comments: Format chosen by Team John and Brian was Best Ball. Dan and Frank were getting 5 and John was getting 9. Frank started out shaky with the putter going 3 putt 2 putt(par) and 4 putt to go down -1. Brian's par on 3 started a streak of 5 pars and a birdie to send his team up by 3 at the turn. Frank and Dan won holes 11 and 12 to get to -1 only to find themselves -2 thru 14. Dan's par on 15 and Frank's birdie on 16 brought the match to all square. The nerves came out for all 4 players on 17 as Brian and John went deep woods left, Brian's went OB and Frank and Dan blocking out the OB went deep in the trees on the right. It wasn't stellar but Frank and Dan's 6's beat John and Brian's 7's to put them up 1 for the first time in the match. Frank and Brian halved 18 with pars to end the match. Did I mention that Frank and Dan juiced up at the turn with Dogs with mustard and onions and a bag of Budweiser's to turn their games around. As Chris would say they needed to get lubricated!!!

Comments: The venue was Indian Island ( Not Indian Hills )picked by Chris and Mike. The format was best ball tiebreaker. Dennis and Mike took the first hole but found themselves down one after 4. Aided buy 2 birdies by Chris, Team C/M found themselves up 2 at the turn.
It could have been much worse for team D/M save for the stellar play of Dennis carding a 42 on the front. Truth be told, both Mikes struggled in the middle of the match whilst Dennis and Chris dueled it out. The match was all-square after 15. The 16th saw Mike D and Chris snap hook left and Dennis and Mike G hit very nice drives. Chris’s second shot hit a tree and he continued looking for his ball until the hole was completed. He swears it is lodged in a foxhole. That left M/D against Mike. G. M/D were both on and 3, Mike G. hit his approach shot to about 12 feet. Mike G. lagged his first putt to about 6 inches for the conceded par and the win as both Dennis and Mike D. bogeyed the hole. Team C/M up one after 16. No one hit a good drive on the par 3 17th. At the green we had the Mikes and Dennis lying 2 and Chris lying 3. Mike D to putt first from about 30 feet putts to about 2 ˝ feet. What happened next was a series of missed putts with at least one 4 putt. Mike Ds 2 ˝ putt went in for the win ALL square going to 18. No one was on after 2 shots. Mike G. put his 3rd to about 12 feet , followed by Dennis and Chris with similar shots. Mike Ds bump and run 7 iron went to about six feet. The first 3 putters all made nice putts but none dropped. This left Mike D with 6 footer for the match. Fortunately for team D/M the putt dropped in. Mike D. was too exhausted from this great competitive round to do the Mickelson frog jump.

Comments: Best Ball- Well there is a new pair of Sheriffs in town!!! These newbies kick some serious butt!! They took the Ham & Egg Champions to School. Steve & Hank scored 5 parrs and 1 birdie on 6 different holes of the nine to take a 2 hole lead after nine. Then proceeded to match the same on the back. Steve C was hitting the ball a ton, straight and when he was off his partner pick him up. Both those guys were putting lights out!!! WE kept trying to keep the match closer but that tag team specialist just won't let us break through. Hats off for a tremendous round. If they keep playing like this They could be a problem!!!!

Comments: The format was chosen by Brian/John as Best ball. A beautiful day to play golf. The course was in excellent shape. The match started with no team gaining any ground on the front nine.Teams were even after nine holes. The back nine saw Tom/Billy pull ahead - up by 2 at 17th hole. The combination being Billy's professional short game and Tom's clutch putting on the back nine. Any putt he had over 15' was a one putt. Bill cooly shot an 81. The scores don't reflect how competitive it actually was. It was great fun and can't wait to do it again.

Comments: Format- Best Ball- Due to the heavy rain forecast we doubted we would get this match in. By the second hole it was coming down hard and we were about to give it up when the weather changed and it was clear sailing all the way in. The match was a see-saw battle the entire way.
Almost every hole was halved. The battle began on 14 when Rich parrred and the Rich/ Tony team finally went one up. 15 was crucial. R/T team were looking good on the green when Mike sank an 80 footer to win the hole. Mike then copied the Phil Mickelson frog jump
to celebrate the win. We're all even going to 16. M/D win the hole to go one up. R&T both bogey 17. Mike has to get up and down for a bogey to halve the hole and go dormey.
Mike chips the ball about 8 feet past and then proceeds to sink the crucial putt to halve the hole. Another Phil frog jump-Mike thinks the match is over and is about to shake hands when we inform him that the match in fact is not over. We go to 18 one down. The crucial shot is Tony's 3rd shot. Dennis is on in four about 30 feet from the hole. Tony has to get it close. He is about 40 yards out and sticks his wedge 10 feet from the hole. Dennis 2 putts
and Tony's 2 putt par wins the hole to halve the match. A nail biter all the way.

Comments: Best Ball Tiebreaker was the format chosen by Team Dennis and Mike. As you can see the scores looked pretty close but don't let that fool you Team Frank and Dan got spanked really bad as they lost the match 5 and 4 and than lost the press on 18. Mike had a spectacular day with a Birdie at 3 and than ran off 5 pars in a row on holes 7-11. If Mike did falter a little bit Dennis was right there to take the tiebreaker. Dennis's birdie at 14 closed the match down. When Team Frank and Dan beat Team Steve and Hank, Frank sunk putts from everywhere...however in this match Frank sunk putts from nowhere!!! 6 three putts that all cost either a tie or a win presented a problem with Mike and Dennis being so hot. Even Dan couldn't talk frank out of the 3 putt blues!! Congrats to great play by Mike and Dennis!! All was not lost as Frank met Chris at Swan Lake 19th hole...and yes Claudia, the bartender is the real deal!!!

Comments: Mike and Chris chose to play best ball which looked like a good choice when they were up 3 after 3 holes that was the position after 6 holes. It became another come back match for Bill and Bud with a different ending. Bill won the 7th and Bud won the 9th bringing Bud and Bill down 1. Bill birdied 10 bringing it to an even match. The pendulum swung and Bill and Bud were up 3 after 14 Thanks to Bill. The match was over on 16 with Bud and Bill up 3. The press began. We split 17 and Bill had a stroke on 18 which was used when everyone had 6 on 18. The strokes Chris had to give us came into play. Tough day for Chris and Mike.

Comments: Best Ball Format-B&B picked the format and we all got off to a slow measured start with no holes won until the 4th. Then, Steve kicked it in!! He watched Billie sink a parr putt, then proceeded to sink a birdie. On 5 he stuck the flag and sunk his next birdie. On 6 Joe & Steve won with boggies. On 7 We had Steve sitting 2 about 50 feet from the flag and Bud sitting 3 about 40 feet from flag. Bud was so intense that he forgot Steve was away and sunk his 40 footer only to watch 5 seconds later Steve sinking his birdie. To add insult to injury Steve won 8 with a stroke at which tine J&S were up 5 and Joe causally commented he was going to take a nap. That was the kiss of Death. B&B woke up. Billie sunk a long parr putt on 9 to win and Bud sunk a birdie on 10 AND THE GAME WAS AFOOT! Billie and Bud started to Ham & Egg it while Joe SLEPT. By 16 we were all even. On 17 both Joe & Steve had good drives with 120 yds left and Billie was in trouble and Bud was 165 out. He had to go for it and buried the ball into the fescue. J&S won hole, 1up going to 18. Joe hit into the rough and was out of hole Steve had some trouble but scored a 7. Bud hit his putt long and ended with a 7 and Billie was sitting 5 with a 5 footer that he just rolled past the hole. Joe apologized for his poor play and bought drinks. Great friends as always.

Comments: Format - Best ball - Best ball. Another beautiful day at Bellport! At the start, Chris explained that the goal today was to have fun. We fulfilled that goal today. The match was pretty even throughout the day with Chris/Mike up a point and a half most of the day. On the Par 3, 14th hole, John/Brian both hit the green in regulation and both scored a 3 pulling to 1/2 of a point behind. On 17, Brian shot a 4 to take the lead for the first time. And then on 18, Brian parred and John beat Mike with a score of 8 to beat Mike's 9. It was a competitive and tough round but our goal was met and fun was had by all!!!

Comments: A rare day in Bellport, just a slight breeze all day. Bill/Bud choose, best ball, tie breaker. Brian/John won the first hole. Bud/Bill won the second hole. Brian/John won the third hole. Bud/Bill won the fourth hole. You get the picture. It stayed that way till the 11th hole, Brian sank a 40' birdie putt to put them up by 2 holes and they never gave it back. The whole day was the John Natale show with John driving and putting his way to a score of 88. He was too much to overcome. A great day of golf and playing with great competitors.

Comments: Best Ball at Vineyards on a windy day. Joe seemed to regain his mojo and he and Steve worked their Ham & Egg magic!! THe duo was up 4 after 6 but Tom and Billie fought back to down 2 after 9. Joe & Steve got back to 4 up after 13and thought the match was over on 14 when we both parred but Tommy sunk a snake for a birdie. Joe & Steve parred alternating holes but Billie kept up the pace with his parrs. The match ended on 16 and J&S won the press on the last hole. Great match. Lots of Fun and WIND!!!

Comments: WE played Best Ball - Total. Shades of Days Gone By!! The classic matches we always had was replicated today. Weather terrible as always?, No wait it was 72 degrees and sunny with light winds; I guess were not use to that!! We all brought great levels of Mediocrity. Match was see sawing the front nine to be even after nine. Then Steve and Joe took a 3 point lead after 13 but was back to plus 1 when Rich parred the 14th parr 3. We went even through 16 then Tony made a beautiful shot out of the sand on 17 and Rich followed up with a good chip and putt to take the hole. Looked bad for the previous Champs but we somehow pulled out a parr (Steve) and boggie (Joe) against a boggie and double to halve the whole match. Great tension and battle!!!

Comments: Match played at The Vineyards-Steve sent me a text the morning of the match to have my game face on. Course was in good shape, breezy but not windy.
and I guess he was feeling pretty good........and well he should, he was as long off the tee as I have ever seen him. Even if he got into the fescu or the bunker, no problem he made some terrific recovery shots. It was the Steve C show for the first 4 holes and then as Steve said"my partner is waking up soon" and he did indeed.........Billy and myself had a lackluster round and I even got 4 more Budweisers for our cart to get Billy around in the fashion he is used to....didn't help as his putter let him down again. Tom did not have anything going for him, missed a birdie putt on hole #2 and it went downhill for the day from there. Steve and Hank were ham and egging it all day but they really did not have to as they both played very well. Fun guys to play with Tom E

Comments: Format was Best ball. Tom showed up a 1/2 hour late which threw off everyone's game as can be seen by the scores.
Rich & Tony got off to an early lead and were plus 3 at the turn. Bill & Tom had a chance to come back but Billy' putter failed him when he missed 2 crucial putts.
R&T closed it out on 16, The press was halved when Tom's bogey on 18 won the hole.
Tom's strategy to piss off Rich & Tony by showing up a half hour late unfortunately did not work. We overheard Tom & Bill discussing their strategy for the next match.
Tom- "I think we should drink more beer next time."
Bill- "Definitely"

Comments: A coin toss over the phone won by Steve and Hank they chose Swan Lake, their home course. Once handicaps were settled on the first tee we went off on a best ball format. The tone was set on hole 1 when Steve and Hank made Frank put a 6 inch putt for bogey, yes he made it but from there on there was no such thing as a gimmy. We think that sparked Frank to rev up his game as he went low and as it turned out he had to as the match went to 18 with Frank and Dan up by 1. It was back and forth all day. Frank who was sinking putts from everywhere just missed a 6 ft down hill left to right by a mere millimeter. Hank had a 6ft uphill putt that he left on the lip to win the hole. Steve stepped up to his 3ft to win the hole and missed as well. Maybe if he gave Frank the putt on hole 1 he may not have had to putt....just maybe!!!! Great match...The 19th hole confirmed Joe's earlier assessment of the barmaid she is spectacular. She will be at swan Lake all summer on Wed!!!!!

Comments: The format was best ball tie breaker chosen by Mike and Dennis. There was not much positive to say about today. It was cold, cloudy and I felt like I was playing in a wind tunnel. The scores sort of tell it all. Congrats to Mike to have the low score of 99. As far as the match, Bill and Bud were up 4 at the turn. Dennis and Mike won 10 and 11 to bring it to 2. Bud and Bill stayed either 2 or 3 up to 15 when Bill and Bud were up 3 with 3 to go Dennis and Mike won 16 and tied on 17 and the match was over with a 1 hole press on 18 which everyone was hitting into the wind. Mike and Dennis won 18 for the press. I think everyone was glad it was over and hit the bar.

Comments: The format was Best Ball. Bellport greens are still recovering and not as fast as expected. Both teams halved the first two holes. H&S went +1 on hole #3 and halved #4. H&S then ham and egged a string of pars on #5, #6, #7 and went +4 after 9 holes. M&D tried to make something happen on the back but ran out of holes. Match was over after hole #15 and the press was over on hole #17. Beautiful day...Better days ahead for Mike and Dennis.

Comments: We played best ball after a flip of a coin which Bill and I won. It was a rough day for Rich and Tony. Rich has a cold and was not feeling great. Tony did not play his usual game. The match was over on hole #12. The press was then a 6 hole match. The press was over on hole #17. All I can say is the drinks and chicken wings were better than the game. It was at least a beautiful day. Rich hit some great drives and I am sure Tony and Rich have better days ahead of them.

Comments: The format was Best Ball and Rock Hill was in excellent condition.
Hank & Steve started out winning the first two hole thanks to Hanks pars. After 4 holes H&S were +1. Then it kind of fell apart for Chris and Mike...loosing the next 3 hole to go -4. Mike then decided to take a break from golf and fortunately Chris keep it at the level through 11.
Then it really got interesting...C&M won 5 of the next 6 holes to even the match through 17. Mike actually returned from his hiatus and had 4 pars through that stretch. On 18 Chris crushed his drive and Mike was in the fairway trap. Steve topped his drive and Hank was in play. It finally came down to putts, as it usually does. Steve was about 50' below the hole and Mike was about 15' hole high. You can guess what happened...Steve sunk the bomb and Mike came up about 5 ' short. All you can do is tip your hat to Steve and think of what might have been.

Comments: Golf course was in really good shape especially for early in the season!! Format was Best Ball. The new rules came into play many times during the round. It started at hole #1 when Tony was in the greenside bunker and got to rake and place. However he hit it short of the green but continued to chip it in the hole for a par 4. Dan matched his 4 with a more traditional on in regulation and 2 putt. Match on...Frank than ran off 4 pars in a row to put his team up +3 after 5 holes. At the turn they were 1 up. Dan won 10 and Frank won 11 to back to +3. Tony and Rich hung in there and got it to +1 with 2 Hail Mary's...Rich had a 50 foot putt and decided to keep the flag in and it was a good thing as he hit the flag and it went in the hole. As Tony said if it didn't hit the flag it would have been off the green on the other side of the green. Than Tony chipped in again for a Birdie 2 at hole #14. Than Dan won the next 2 holes to close out the match +3after 16. Frank and Dan went on to win the press for the total of 10 points. Needless to say we are happy to be back.

Comments: Best Ball-Tie Breaker. Swan Lake - a beautiful course, however greens bumpy! Dennis was on fire Birdie attempt on first just missed, then birdied second hole. S&J down 2. Stayed between down 2 and 1 thru 9 w/ J&S down 2 at turn. J&S won next 2 out of 3 to be even. J&S pulled ahead to up 2 w/ 2 to go. Lost 17 and halved 18 to win it all. Putting was the problem for both teams. Once these greens come in this is a nice course. On a side note, new dynamite Bar Maid. All I can say is her attributes were magnificent! On another side note, played 2019 rules, first sand trap there was no rake!!!! Need clarification on the drop area for OB.
